Artist Statement
I am a self-taught woodworker, with a deep respect for the furniture craftsmen of the 17th and 18th centuries. Their knowledge of form, balance, joinery and of wood movement
is evident in the pieces of fine furniture that still exist today. I rely on the shared expertise of those craftsmen from long ago and those of today, who continue to up hold a quality
of excellence in creating traditional fine furniture of heirloom distinction. I use only solid hardwoods through each piece, always reading each board’s grain pattern and figure to
determine its best use in creating an attractive and functional piece of quality furniture. Mortise, tenon as well as dovetail construction is applied to every piece for a sturdiness that will allow it to last for generations to come. Every piece made by me is signed and dated.

Thought For The Day
"When you buy art from an artist whether at an art fair or a gallery, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a small business family support themselves to put food on the table, pay a mortgage, pay for college, pay for health insurance. You are a shareholder in the success of independent artists. Thank you for supporting independent artists!"
