Happy 250th Birthday America❣️

This Fourth of July marks an extraordinary milestone: 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we find ourselves thinking about the generations of makers who came before us—the cabinetmakers, woodworkers, blacksmiths, farmers, and craftspeople who built things with their hands and took pride in doing a job well.

At Thomas William Furniture, we are honored to carry a small part of that tradition forward.

In our Wisconsin workshop, each piece of furniture is made one at a time, by hand. We still believe in carefully chosen hardwoods, time-honored joinery, hand-cut dovetails, and mortise-and-tenon construction. We believe the details that take extra time are often the ones that matter most.

Our furniture is not made for a season. It is made with the hope that a table will gather a family for decades, that a cabinet will hold the treasures of a lifetime, and that someday a piece made in our workshop will be passed from one generation to the next.

For 250 years, the American story has been shaped by people who built, created, dreamed, persevered, and believed in something greater than themselves. We are grateful to live and work in this country and thankful for the freedom to pursue a life of craftsmanship.

This Independence Day, we celebrate our nation’s history, honor those who came before us, and look with hope toward the generations yet to come.

From our workshop to your home, we wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July.
