Tom Dumke Receives National Spotlight for His Work


An Oconomowoc furniture master craftsman was recently given a national spotlight.

In November, Tom Dumke, who works out of his town of Oconomowoc home, was one of 20 artists featured by Artists Sunday, which was created to showcase artists across the country during the holiday season.

Artists Sunday founder Christopher Sherman, a professional photographer and long-time entrepreneur, said Dumke was selected out of more than 2,000 artists from all 50 states.

"When it comes to wood, Tom's work just stood out," Sherman said. "Just fantastic craftsmanship. When we looked at it as an organization and we handed it off to our advisory board, it was hands down that Tom's woodworking was just fantastic."
